Installation work has begun

The plinth is currently being installed at the National Memorial Arboretum. The inclement weather and excessive ground water have delayed things. Nevertheless, we expect that the memorial will be complete before the end of the year. NMA policies mean that we have to wait two months before we can arrange the formal opening. However, after a process lasting several years, we are now within touching distance.

We hope to be able to upload some photos of the work in progress, soon. We will be planning a small opening ceremony in the New Year, before the next phase of the project.

Once we have formally opened the memorial, we can focus on developing an educational strategy and materials. This will be a major advance and is an exciting prospect. We can’t wait to start focusing on this!
